BREAKING: A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy downpours across England and Wales has been issued by the Met Office.
The warning comes into effect from midnight until 11.59pm on Sunday, when up to 30mm of rain could fall in one hour.
The nation is also set to be battered by lightning, strong winds and hail, the forecaster has warned.The prediction of a weekend washout comes hours afteras people struggle to cope with rising temperatures. Deluges could lead to flash floods causing difficult conditions and road closures, together with delays to public transport services.
There is also a chance of power cuts and concerns rural communities could be cut off by rising water.â ï¸ Yellow weather warning issued â ï¸
