Ticketmaster has announced it was cancelling the sale of tickets for Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour, which has angered thousands.
There are now growing calls for corporate oversight on Capitol Hill following the move by the company.
Senator Amy Klobuchar has promised a hearing, saying it’s just about Ms Swift but about the “prices, hidden fees that are way too high” and site disruptions. Ticketmaster had to cancel the planned public sale, saying it couldn’t handle the 14 million who attempted to purchase a Taylor Swift ticket.
