Tiger Woods confirmed Tuesday that the first Texas location of PopStroke will open on Dec. 16 in Katy. Two 18-hole putting courses will be part of a complex featuring a full-service restaurant, beer garden, rooftop bar and ice cream parlor.
The popularity of golf and the Houston area’s booming population factored into bringing PopStroke to Katy, Bartoli said.
PopStroke aims to offer a more upscale experience, from the golf courses designed by Woods to the food options, Bartoli said. A Lone Star burger with a special blend of beef and barbecue will set the Katy PopStroke apart from other spots, said Andrew Veneski, the director of culinary training and development.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in the morning at 23110 Grand Circle Boulevard on Dec. 15 before PopStroke opens at noon to the public the next day.
