Wests Tigers players say they didn’t seek or want an apology from teammates Josh Reynolds and Russell Packer for walking out of Saturday’s match against the Sea Eagles at Lottoland at half-time.

Manly led 20-12 at the break but the Wests Tigers roared back to score two tries in the final eight minutes to win 34-32.

Halfback Luke Brooks admitted it wasn’t a good look for two teammates to up and go before the result of the match was known, as if they didn’t care. "It's a story that has been blown out of proportion. Because of where we are on the ladder, these little stories become bigger stories. It's frustrating."

Taylor, who has spent time at the Warriors and Penrith before his six years at Wests Tigers, said Maguire was the man for the job."Ripping in the last two years have probably been my hardest training years that I’ve done to be honest. Anthony Griffin comes in a close second. He’s very similar.
