Bringing in two credentialed secondary coaches was a top priority for Jim Knowles, and Tim Walton and Perry Eliano already have 'great chemistry' to work in tandem.

Knowles said any defensive staff he’s helped assemble has had two secondary coaches, and given that he has assumed the role of linebackers coach for Ohio State, the allocation made plenty of sense for the Buckeyes. But with both defensive back gurus possessing decades of coaching experience, their pre-existing level of familiarity might aid in their professional correspondence.
“This is not my first time working with him, and we hit it off and had great chemistry,” Eliano said. “So fast forward to now, we’re working together side-by-side.”
