The Red Cross said a team sent to help evacuate thousands of civilians from Ukraine's Mariupol on Friday had been forced to turn around, but would try again on Saturday.

A Red Cross convoy travelling to the besieged Ukrainian port of Mariupol turned around because it had become impossible to proceed with its mission to begin evacuating civilians on Friday./The Red Cross said a team sent to help evacuate thousands of civilians from Mariupol on Friday had been forced to turn around, but would try again Saturday.
