Now in its sixth year, men lined the entrance at Foundation Academies charter school in Trenton Friday, offering words of encouragement and positivity to the students.
in Trenton marked the 100th day of the school year with a rousing celebration that aims to recruit 100 positive male role models from the community to cheer students on.
“Every day, you will make the decisions that will change your trajectory, to ensure your success,” he proclaimed. “Today you will go forth, and continue to be great.”“We are all here today to support you and let you know how important you are… to the younger generations in this community,” he said. This year, the number of men at either location was far short of 100, but those in attendance were effusive in their enthusiasm.Lined up next to Trenton Thunder mascot “Boomer” at the Foundation Academies K-12 Schools campus, he yelled and jumped up and down waving a “We’re Number 1″ foam fan hand.
