A two-year-old child is feared to have been bitten by a snake, reportedly at a Queensland childcare centre. 7NEWS

The child has been taken to hospital as a precaution after being assessed by paramedics at the Bowen premises on Tuesday afternoon.

The toddler had what appeared to be snake bite marks on their hand but was not showing symptoms of being injected with venom.They were transported to Bowen Hospital in a stable condition. It’s believed the snake was found on the child at the Kidz At The Beach childcare centre, according to the Townsville Bulletin.
