The Bristol City striker netted for Scotland Under 21s against Turkey and is in Clarke's thoughts as a potential Lyndon Dykes replacement.
As soon as it was confirmed Lyndon Dykes is missing the Euros, attention turned to other viable striking options.
He's stressed there's no one else who does what Dykes does in dark blue. But Conway is very much in his thoughts as he mulls over his options at the top end of the pitch, especially after finding the net for the Under 21s on Monday night. Now firmly established as City's main man in attack, he's been attracting interest and is out of contract next summer. That may mean City look to cash in this year, as he's said he's in no rush to sort out his long term future just yet. He's been linked with Wolves, Brentford and Nottingham Forest, while Steve Evans has told Celtic and Rangers they should be signing him.
“I know that there’s more to my game than just scoring goals,” Conway said. “I know I need to be there as a frontman defending, or as a link, so I know I can have a good game and not score. When I was younger I’d probably always base my game around scoring goals; if I hadn’t scored then I’d played badly. I think as I’ve got older my mindset has changed in that aspect and I definitely know now my game is more than goals.
