"I think a lot of people are trying to create something out of nothing," he told reporters while helping announce new funding for Careers Australia in his electorate of Warringah on Wednesday. "The idea that any of us [in the Coalition] are going to be improperly influenced ... to change our position on China for the payment of money is just absurd. That's something that happens in the Labor Party, it certainly doesn't happen in the Coalition."
"As far as I'm concerned he's a respected former prime minister and I hope that feeling is reciprocated."Mr Dutton has flatly denied any wrongdoing regarding Mr Huang and has described the story as a beat-up.
