More than 47,000 claims have been lodged by eligible drivers since the scheme began on January 1
The suburbs seeing the biggest refunds include Auburn, with drivers claiming back $600 on average, Lakemba , and Wiley Park .There is $46.8 million available to be claimed after the first quarterly period, for over 350,000 toll account holders.
Baulkham Hills had the most amount claims with 706, followed by Blacktown with 659, Marsden Park with 555 and Auburn with 324."This means much-needed dollars in the pockets of drivers across western Sydney, those areas where people have little other choice than to use toll roads and where public transport alternatives are not as viable as in other parts of Sydney.
"The NSW Government's number one priority is delivering cost of living relief and I urge those drivers who are eligible for toll relief to link their toll account with Service NSW."Drivers who spend more than $60 and less than $400 per week can have their tolls refunded through the scheme.Be registered with a NSW toll service provider, with a personal account for private useMotorists driving as Rideshare or taxi services are not eligible for the rebate.
Motorists who are already part of the M5 South-West Cashback Scheme can not claim the toll cap at the same time.
