Under the roof of Rod Laver Arena, world number one Iga Świątek moves on to the next round, while Melbourne's wet weather causes havoc with the tournament's schedule.
abc.net.au/news/australian-open-iga-swiatek-through-to-third-round/101867384Iga Świątek has stepped up her game to restore order with a more routine Australian Open second-round win, as the tournament continues to deal with Melbourne's wet weather.
The rain did not affect Świątek, however, as the world number one advanced to the last 32 with a resounding 6-2, 6-3 victory over Colombian Camila Osorio under the closed roof on Rod Laver Arena. Świątek had to scrap her way back from a service break in the second set of her unconvincing tournament opener against Jule Niemeier on Monday night.
