Jacob Rees-Mogg insisted the drastic step - as well as bringing back Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary - is the 'only way' the party can avoid a disastrous defeat to Labour.
The Tories must install Nigel Farage as Home Secretary and merge with Reform to win the election, Jacob Rees-Mogg has warned.
Fears are mounting that Rishi Sunak cannot claw back the ground before the general election, expected by the end of the year. Speaking on his GB News programme, Sir Jacob said the 'fundamental' challenge was to 'reunite the Right'. Sir Jacob pointed out that combined support for the Tories and Reform would put them within touching distance of Labour.
'It means slashing net migration down to the tens of thousands because every electoral mandate since 2010 has promised precisely this.'It means leaving the oppressive jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights because the British people have had enough of foreign courts extending their powers to interfere in our sovereignty.
'It means rolling back the disastrous green agenda, enabling cheap energy, and granting freedom of choice for British consumers.'
