It'll be sunny this weekend, but before that, the National Weather Service would like New Jerseyans to know they can expect severe thunderstorms on Friday night, along with a tornado watch and possible hail up to two inches in diameter.
A tornado watch is in effect for parts of NJ and PA.Severe thunderstorms are expected and a tornado watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Friday for a stretch of the northeastern United States, including some New Jersey suburbs of New York City and swaths of Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.includes the possibility of hail up to two inches in diameter and high winds of up to 70 miles per hour.
included in the watch are Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Sussex and Warren. A Tornado Watch is now in effect for parts of PA and NJ until 7:00pm. Severe thunderstorms are expected, with the potential to produce strong wind gusts and a couple of tornadoes. This watch includes some suburbs of NYC.
