A community has paid tribute to an 18-month-old girl who died after she was hit by a ute in the driveway of an Adelaide home.
Police and paramedics rushed to the home at Netherby, near Unley, after 8am today over reports the child was hit by a car. Early reports indicate the toddler was struck at the end of the driveway by the front of the ute.Police cleared the ute of personal items, including a small bike.
Loved ones described the tragedy as devastating and said it would take a long time to process what had unfolded.Small tributes, including flowers, have been left at the family's home."It is such a peaceful and friendly neighbourhood and to have something like this in your backyard just absolutely shocks you to the core," neighbour Michael Angelakis said.
