Postecoglou’s team have been like a yo-yo this season and after a lacklustre 1-1 draw with Fulham on Sunday which was preceded by a thumping 4-0 victory at Manchester City, it was unclear if the electric Tottenham outfit who have scored the most goals in the League this season, or the defensively fragile team who lost to relegation-threatened Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace, would turn up on the south coast.
The Dutch-born, Spanish under-21s representative lost his marker, Radu Dragusin, on the edge of the box and waltzed in to become the youngest goal scorer for Bournemouth in the Premier League. Things could have been worse for Postecoglou’s side if not for a reprieve from the linesperson’s flag. Son backed up his manager’s words as he came onto the pitch in 56th minute and two minutes later had put the ball in the back of the net, only for the linesperson’s flag to go against Tottenham this time.
Evanilson finished from close range following a deflected shot from Tyler Adams, but the video referee found the Brazilian was off side.
