Bruno Fernandes wanted a penalty when Manchester United teammate Alejandro Garnacho saw a shot hit Cristian Romero on the hand.
Dermot Gallagher has poured cold water on suggestions from Bruno Fernandes that Manchester United ought to receive an apology for being denied a penalty during their 2-0 defeat against Tottenham.
VAR did not intervene and, speaking during his post-match interview, United captain Fernandes demanded an apology from Jon Moss - Select Group 1 manager at PGMOL - after he spoke to Wolves about an 'error' which benefited United in their season opener when the Molineux men were denied a late penalty.
Gallagher - a former Premier League referee - was pressed on whether United should receive an apology during his appearance on Sky Sports show Ref Watch. He said: "I would say 100 per cent no because the feeling is that he [Romero] was so close.
