There is concern among residents of Blacktown and Cumberland local government areas after tougher COVID restrictions were imposed.
As of midnight last night, residents are subject to strict stay-at-home orders. but locals and community leaders are critical.
Under the new restrictions, residents can no longer leave other than for critical work and anyone classified as an authorised worker will need to undergo a COVID test every 72 hours. The stay-at-home orders for workers were first introduced in Fairfield, Canterbury- Bankstown and Liverpool local government areas.
