Disney has announced ToyStory5 is in the works.
Audiences are once reuniting with Woody, Buzz, and the whole gang. Disney has announced that Toy Story 5, a new feature film as part of the beloved animated franchise, is in development.
The announcement of the upcoming fifth installment in the beloved Pixar series was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger during the company's Q1 earnings call. Along with the news of a new Toy Story, other animated franchises will also be receiving new entries with Frozen 3 and a new Zootopia film also being announced during the call.
COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY Each of the previous entries in these franchises saw major success both commercially and critically, with Toy Story 4 earning over $1.07 billion at the global box office and went on to be nominated for two Academy Awards in 2020 for Best Original Song “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” by Randy Newman and won the Best Animated Feature.
