Sanders won the discus with a toss of 171-8, a victory by 32 feet. The previous meet record was 160-2.Antonian senior Garrett Kaalund earned three gold medals with wins in the boys 6A 200- and 400-meter dashes during Saturday’s running finals. He also anchored Antonian’s win in the 1,600 relay. Antonian freshman Micaela Villarreal earned gold in the 3,200 run on Friday and the 1,600 run on Saturday. Her time of 11:21.29 in the 3,200 was 37 seconds faster than the field. She won the 1,600 with a 5:11.06.
