Two of the three people killed in a five-vehicle crash on a major Queensland highway are yet to be identified, as police are yet to rule out if further victims are possible. Emergency services were called to the crash — which involved two semi trailers, a car, a dual cab ute, and a caravan trailer — on the Bruce Highway and Walker Street intersection at Maryborough West around 10pm on Friday. Three people were confirmed dead, while another three were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
” Algie confirmed a 53-year-old man driving an SUV turned right onto the highway from Walker Street when he crashed head-on with a semi-trailer heading south. The truck then veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a second truck. Police said they believe at this stage the 53-year-old man failed to give way to the truck, which caused the initial collision.
