Exeter coroner Alison Longhorn has now concluded her death accidental. On Tuesday, she said: "It is likely that she was walking along the sea wall when she fell off." But speaking outside the inquest, Albina's family have demanded the wall is made safe and previously asked 'how many more children need to die?' They launched a campaign to stop further tragedies with hundreds of people signing an online petition calling for safety measures to be implemented on the wall.
Top news stories today Albina's family have met with Network Rail and say officials have so far refused to commit to railings and lighting to prevent another death. They say Albina's tragic death in March was the second to result from no railing, after the death of Brendan Burnage in 1992. At that time the wall was under the ownership of the 'British Railways' Board before privatisation.
