A man has been killed and his teenage son injured after a large tree branch fell on their family car in Victoria's north. The incident occurred when the family tried to leave the Loop Track in Yarrawonga following a camping trip . A severe storm caused branches to fall from trees, one of which struck their vehicle. The 45-year-old driver died at the scene, while his son was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Wangaratta Hospital.
The woman in the car was taken to the hospital for observation. Investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing, with a report to be prepared for the coroner
