A newly released Transformers: Rise of the Beasts clip sees Optimus Prime and the Autobots fighting Optimus Primal and the Beast Wars Maximals.

A new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts clip features Autobots taking on the Maximals. Set as a prequel to the original Transformers movie, the upcoming giant robot action film stars Anthony Ramos as Noah Diaz, a former military electronics technician who is inadvertently thrust into an intergalactic conflict involving Autobots, Predacons, and Terrorcons.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Paramount Pictures recently released a new clip from the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts which sees Autobots fighting against the Maximals. Primal surprises Noah and Elena in the woods, questioning the pair about "the Key." Autobots rush to their aid but are ambushed by other Maximals. However, Prime jumps in the fray in an attempt to end the tense standoff.

Will Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Revitalize The Franchise? Originally a toy line, Transformers exploded in popularity with its acclaimed animated television series. Hollywood action director Michael Bay adapted the franchise for the big screen with 2007's Transformers, creating a box office hit and kicking off a lucrative film series. Although first film earned a whopping $700 million worldwide, the next three entries from Bay each crossed the $1 billion mark.

Directed by Creed II's Steven Caple Jr., Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will face stiff competition at the box office. Although the film will undoubtedly earn the most against the other titles releasing June 9, Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse's June 2 premiere will likely negatively affect Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' performance. With The Flash entering theaters a week later, another $1 billion haul for the franchise may not be in the foreseeable future.
