Josh Frydenberg has promised the upcoming budget will tackle the one topic every Australian is talking about right now, while forecasting debt to fall quicker than expected.

Economic data released on Thursday showed unemployment was at 4 per cent – the equal lowest rate since records began in 1978.

While jobs figures are at record lows, including the lowest female unemployment rate – 3.8 per cent – since 1974, increases in cost of living continues to put pressure on Australian households.
