NSW has reported 390 new local cases, the highest daily COVID-19 case total since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking of the two deaths recorded overnight, Dr Gale said the man, aged in his late 90s, had died at Hawkins Masonic Village in Edgeworth, Newcastle.
