Ian Spencer, 56, died following the incident on Craignair Street, near the junction with Port Road, in Dalbeattie.
Tributes have been paid to a lorry driver who died following a horror crash in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police Scotland said they were treating the incident as a 'medical matter' and it's understood Ian died at the wheel of his lorry. Following the devastating news tributes have flooded in and Ian, who was also known as Joe, has been described as "a lovely hard working man" who "always had time to speak to you".
"We often underestimated his ability, the club will be a poorer place without him. Our thoughts are with Jan, his wife, and his family." Enquiries into the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and officers are appealing for information.
