Ger Brady was diagnosed with the disease in August of 2022 and represented Mayo at Minor, U21 and Senior level
Tributes have poured in for Ger Brady after the death of the former Mayo footballer to Motor Neurone Disease aged 44.
The Claremorris man represented Mayo at minor and U21 level before making his senior debut against New York in 1999. Brady would go on to win a Connacht medal with his county that summer.Mayo GAA Chairman Seamus Tuohy said: "We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our former Mayo Senior, U21 and minor Football player Ger Brady following a long battle with illness fought with the same courage, resilience and determination as he brought to the football field.
"Ger has touched many lives through his involvement in the Gaa sport and left us with great memories which we will forever cherish.
