The city has so much to offer and over the past decade it has changed immeasurably
In the past decade, Leeds has grown a lot. Not just in terms of population but also in scale. The city when I was growing up was a place to go shopping on a weekend, maybe pop into the Merrion centre or have a bite to eat but it's all changed since then.

First of all, there are many things to do, you have the museum which is free entry and can kill a couple of hours, you have Trinity which has enough shops to fill an entire day and then you have the various bars and restaurants across the city.
Leeds is a very pretty city, I know some people don't think this but if you stop and look there are some wonderful old buildings, decorated with a wealth of history both inside and out. There are many iconic buildings such as the Town Hall, the Civic Hall, the old hospitals - they may not sound fun but the stories they tell are amazing.
I moved back to Leeds because I didn't enjoy the south, I moved 200 miles after only spending a year in Hertfordshire because I preferred Leeds. Sure the south was pretty and London being so close was a novelty but boy was it busy and oftentimes not worth the effort.
