Triple J reconnects with the kids, while WSFM faces woes across the board | _thmitchell
Australia’s national youth broadcaster Triple J has seen a noticeable bump in its key 18-24 demographic in the fifth radio survey of the year, after struggling with its core audience in Sydney for most of 2022.
Despite a bounce back in the 18-24 demographic, the flow-on effect was limited for Triple J across the day. Breakfast team Bryce Mills and Ebony Boadu dropped to 3.7 per cent , while Lucy Smith on Mornings dipped to a 5.4 per cent total share. The bump for Triple J in the 18-24 demographic is mirrored by a commensurate loss in the same market for WSFM. In the previous survey, WSFM had an 11 per cent share, but that has dropped to 4.5 per cent in this survey.
