The facility in Lebanon, Tennessee by next year will produce six times the number of charger units than that of its biggest existing facility in Australia

| Tritium, the Australian manufacturer of electric vehicle chargers, has opened its first factory on American soil, setting the pace for other foreign companies wanting a piece of the Biden Administration’s billions of dollars in incentives to decarbonise the US economy and make its supply chains more self-reliant.

“We were already considering building closer to our US customer base, but we also knew there was going to be a push for the Buy in America campaign,” said Ms Hunter., and they have super sized our investment here. We have become the perfect example of how the US is working to shore up its sovereign capability,” she said.Ambassador Sinodinos said there was a strong shift to reshoring - bringing back onshore - supply chains with trusted allies and Tritium exemplified this trend.

Tritium’s speedy factory set up was in part led by Whitewater’s Robert Bruce, who was responsible for the rollout of Amazon’s fulfilment centres in Australia.“If you think too small you will be forever catching up,” Mr Bruce said. Ms Hunter said Tritium would most likely become free cash flow positive by the end of 2023 as the company met growth forecasts.

Biden administration in an ‘extraordinarily humiliating position’Biden administration in an ‘extraordinarily humiliating position’Author Douglas Murray says US President Joe Biden’s administration is in an “extraordinarily humiliating position” as it desires to forge a deal with Iran. “Biden said before he was elected president, he was desperate to get back into the deal and he has made it a sort of signature policy of his,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “The American’s are simultaneously trying to woo the Iranians, at the same time, the Iranians are trying to kill Americans on American soil. “The Biden administration seems nevertheless, to try to be sort of cleaning this over.”
