The Army's entire fleet of MRH-90 helicopters remains grounded as an investigation into the crash that killed four aviators off the Queensland coast continues.

Captain Danniel Lyon, Lieutenant Max Nugent, Warrant Officer Class Two Joseph Laycock and Corporal Alexander Naggs died in the crash. The Burdekin Bridge will be periodically closed throughout the week to allow the aircraft to be moved along the Bruce Highway.Investigation continues"The recovery remains a complicated and difficult operation," the spokesperson said.
"During the course of the recovery operation, HMAS Huon, Australian Defence Vessel Reliant and Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers have recovered items, including personal effects and wreckage from the MRH-90 Taipan, in addition to the Voice and Flight Data Recorder. "A C-17A Globemaster III transported the recovered wreckage from Whitsunday Coast Airport, Proserpine, to Canberra on 24 and 25 August 2023, in support of the Defence Flight Safety Bureau investigation.An investigation into the fatal crash is continuing, with Defence confirming the black box of the crashed aircraft had been recovered a week and a half after the tragedy.
