Officers believe the motorcyclist was attempting to lane filter between the trucks when he was hit.
Police are searching for the driver of a truck following a crash in Melbourne yesterday that left a motorcyclist fighting for his life.
The crash occurred at 4.30pm on the West Gate Freeway, near the Williamstown Road exit in Spotswood, causing major delays for commuters during the peak-hour rush.Delays of up to three hours were predicted following the crash. The second truck was last seen travelling westbound on the freeway, according to police.
The 24-year-old Werribee man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains.
