Neighbors in the area said the truck had been sitting in the street for days before police found the man dead inside.
HOUSTON, Texas -- Houston police are investigating the suspicious death of a man who was found with multiple cuts to the neck in the city's south side.
On Monday morning, patrol officers were in the 3800 block of Alice Street when they saw a pickup truck parked along the street."I came back in the house from sweeping the porch off and it was still sitting there," a neighbor said."I said, 'Oh well, maybe it broke down or something.'"Once the officers opened the door, they saw a comforter covering a man in the driver's seat, police said.
"My daughter told me that they had found a body over there and the car had been parked over there for a couple of days," Anthony Brown said."I was like, 'That's too close to comfort man.'" While details surrounding the death investigation were limited, police described the suspect as a Hispanic man about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.
