Former President Donald Trump lied and schemed and misled federal investigators, according to a bombshell 37-count federal indictment.

: Donald Trump is facing 37 criminal charges for mishandling classified documents – from secret information relating to nuclear programs and military vulnerabilities to intelligence that should have only been shared with the “Five Eyes” countries, including Australia.

“Among the materials Trump stored in his boxes were hundreds of classified documents. The classified documents Trump stored in his boxes included information regarding defence and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to foreign attack.

Many of the documents that Trump retained were linked to key US agencies and departments, such as the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defence, and the National Security Agency. But some of the information Trump stored could have also put key allies at risk by compromising information that was not meant to go beyond the countries involved.

In another incident in September 2021, he allegedly shared a top secret military map with a staffer at his political action committee who did not have a security clearance.
