The Manhattan D.A. is currently trying two Trump companies for allegedly paying personal expenses for executive without properly disclosing them.

, a prosecutor making closing arguments in the case claimed that Trump"knew exactly what was going on with his top executives," despite the fact that the trial had not dealt with his potential involvement up to that point.on Tuesday, Trump lambasted the trial as a"witch hunt," and made the inaccurate assertion that murder cases had not been tried in Manhattan in six years in an attempt to call the District Attorney's Office's priorities into question.

"Murder and Violent Crime is at an all-time high in NYC, and the D.A.'s office has spent almost all of its time & money fighting a political Witch Hunt for D.C. against 'Trump' over Fringe Benefits, something that in the history of our Country, has never been so tried in Court before," Trump wrote in the post.
