Upon entering, Republican congressmembers exuded a boisterous and positive energy, chanting "four more years" as Trump began to speak.
Trump is expected to focus heavily on the strength of the US economy and the country's historically-low unemployment rate. White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said the theme of the speech would be "Great American Comeback". The State of the Union - an event laden with pomp and ceremony - is attended by almost all members of Congress. The justices of the US Supreme Court also attend as do top military generals and members of the President's cabinet.
