Donald Trump has been back in court for his hush money trial, the first criminal case against a former US president. It is one of multiple legal issues for Trump, who also found himself at the centre of a Supreme Court hearing on Thursday.
Hearings in the hush money trial have wrapped up for the week, but if you missed today's evidence, here's what you need to know.David PeckerThe day began with Trump lawyer Emil Bove apologising for what the judge called a 'misleading' line of questioning yesterday.Prosecution witness David Pecker, the former head of publisher AMI, was on the stand for his fourth and final day, being cross-examined by Mr Bove.
Mr Pecker also testified that the non-prosecution agreement signed by AMI and the Southern District of New York contained no admission of a campaign finance violation.But when the prosecution was given the opportunity to question Mr Pecker again, he said that agreement admitted the deal to buy Karen McDougal's story was to suppress it to influence an election.
