President Donald Trump has designated migrant crime gangs, specifically MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, and Mexican drug cartels as terrorists.

President Donald Trump has started the process for a massive crackdown on foreign drug gangs in a move which could pave the way for unprecedented military action against the destructive cartels.

"I will direct our government to use the full and immense power of federal and state law enforcement to eliminate the presence of all foreign gangs and criminal and criminal networks bringing devastating crime to U.S. soil, including our cities and inner cities.” The designation would make it illegal to collaborate with or aid the groups and would allow Trump’s administration to put known members on the terrorist watchlist which would pave the way for arrests or bans from US entry.President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan said in an interview with Fox News the new administration would use the “full might of the United States Special Operations” to eliminate Mexico’s cartels.

“Obviously this is a very capable ultra-violent organisation, they have no clue if we organise these tier one units against them.”
