President Donald Trump has slammed Joe Biden’s last-minute pardons for Anthony Fauci, Mark Milley and other “political thugs” following his historic inauguration address. Picture: Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images “I do not wish to spend whatever remaining time the Lord grants me fighting those who unjustly might seek retribution for perceived slights,” Milley said in a statement.
While the pardons not formally meaning an admission of guilt, Trump said some of those pardoned by the executive branch were in fact “very, very guilty of very bad crimes”. After thanking members of his administration, Biden said he was proud of upholding “honesty, decency, integrity” during his term in the White House which saw “no scandal”.
