U.S. President Donald Trump said on March 22 that he planned to nominate Stephen Moore for a seat on the Federal Reserve’s board of governors.
Moore is a distinguished visiting fellow at the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation, and a former Wall Street Journal editorial-page writer who worked as an adviser on Trump’s presidential campaign and helped write the administration’s signature economic initiative, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
“I will be nominating Mr. Moore to the Fed,” the president told reporters as he arrived in Florida for a weekend trip. “He’ll be great on the Fed.”
