With the early 2024 conservative field led by two Floridians, the priorities for faith leaders in the state who have interacted with former president Donald Trump and/or Gov. Ron DeSantis might end up impacting the national campaign on issues ranging from abortion to education and immigration
. They want a more orderly processes at a time of historically high illegal border crossings, but also more help to regularize and integrate undocumented migrants who are contributing economically and socially in United States communities.
“We see how youth and children are exposed to beliefs or forms of indoctrination that bring conflict to a family,” López said. “We don’t want any government ever to go above a father and mother.”to give parents a say in what books are available in school libraries, targeting the presence of sexually explicit volumes.

As a pastor, I happen to believe what the Bible teaches about sexuality and marriage,” he said.
