Ms Panahi Tweeted a photo of Justice Barrett in October 2018 with the caption "Next" indicating, she would be the country's next Supreme Court justice.
President Trump announced Ms Barrett as his nominee to replace deceased former associate justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after she passed away two weeks ago after a long battle with cancer. The President noted the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, describing the former Judge as a “true American legend” and a “legal giant”. Mr Trump went on to introduce Ms Barrett saying, “today it is my honour to nominate one of our nation’s most brilliant and gifted legal minds to the Supreme Court”.
