BREAKING: London Underground workers are to launch a ‘week of action’ from July 23, with strikes shutting down different sections of the Tube.
The RMT union has said 600 jobs are at risk on the network, affecting ‘every aspect of the tube including stations and maintenance’.
The industrial action will last from Sunday July 23 until Friday July 28, though there will be no strike on Monday July 24.It is the latest move in a long-running dispute between the RMT and Transport for London over jobs, cuts, pensions and working conditions. general secretary Mick Lynch said: ‘This week of action will shut down the London Underground and show just how important the work of our members is.Latest London news
