Thousands of people ran out to stores to stock up on goods, many without wearing mandatory face masks.In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said:"Responsibility for implementing the weekend curfew decision, which was aimed at preventing the epidemic, belongs entirely to me."
However Recep Tayyip Erdogan said it was not"appropriate" for the Minister to resign at the current time. @canokar tweet: This is what happens when you announce a 48 hour lockdown three hours before it starts.
