HealthMatch, a health tech start-up backed by Malcolm and Lucy Turnbull, has laid off half its staff this week and is exploring ways to further reduce its cost base to ride out the challenging fundraising environment now facing the sector.
Ms Gunawardena, 29, said cutting 18 roles, the large majority of which were made redundant, was “an incredibly hard decision to make that we worked tirelessly to avoid”.
