Sky News host Andrew Bolt says after having seen more of Malcolm Turnbull’s new memoir, he has been “absolutely stunned” to see “how embarrassing it is” for the former prime minister.

Mr Turnbull has unleashed a series of scathing assessments of his former colleagues, including Prime Minister Scott Morrison, in his memoir “A Bigger Picture” which is on sale from Monday. Mr Bolt said in the book Malcolm Turnbull “whinges that the Liberals knifed him as prime minister two years ago”.

However, that was reminiscent of how he had “knifed Tony Abbott before that,” Mr Bolt said. Mr Bolt also discussed the issue with former member for Wentworth Peter King, with the former politician saying Mr Turnbull had conducted a “campaign of dirty tricks” to usurp him from his Sydney seat in the early 2000s. Mr King said the new memoir is less a “little diary” and more a “trashing of our Westminster system by someone who should have known better”.
