WA's Education Minister Sue Ellery once described efforts to address a truancy crisis in Halls Creek as 'amazing'. Now her department is investigating as families accuse the government of botching school attendance plans.

Leaders fear already rife social problems will only worsen in Halls Creek if education is not improved. The WA Education Minister has now launched an investigation into the Halls Creek plans, after questions from the ABC."Particularly in light of the vulnerability of some of the students involved.
