As the proud ‘graduates’ were presented with their certificates of achievement, the students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to access the ESOL classes

East Kilbride Integration Network were delighted to celebrate the achievements of their first 20 students seeking asylum in the South Lanarkshire town.

Kiem Doyle, founder and CEO of EKin has been the driving force behind this venture and having secured her CELTA qualification to teach ESOL, immediately launched into the delivery of the much-needed course. "It’s wonderful to be able to help them in this part of their journey as new Scots in East Kilbride.”

Kirsten Robb was equally positive in her observations about the initiative, adding: "It has been a total joy to spend time today with EKin and the ESOL classmates.
