CCTV footage from the night of Erebus Motorsport ’s Bathurst 1000 victory shows no sign of an attack on a crew member of the winning team, instead picturing the man hitting himself in the face. In a bizarre twist, the vision that has emerged, which NSW Police are using for their investigation into the matter, appears to show a man throwing punches at himself while walking along William St in Bathurst ’s CBD.

footage from post-Bathurst incident emerges. A woman appears to be cautiously following the man and then stops as she watches the man fall to the floor. He then gets up and walks out of shot. Police say their investigation is still ongoing, but remain confident there was no attack. They confirmed the man was out of hospital. An Erebus data engineer was hospitalised in the early hours of Monday morning while celebrating Brodie Kostecki, Todd Hazelwood and the team’s win at Sunday’s Great Race.
